2012 Scholarship Opportunities

Riggs Scholarship – Due February 15, 2012
A high school senior that plans to attend one of the 17 undergraduate Assemblies of God endorsed colleges or universities (www.colleges.ag.org) may be eligible to apply for a Ralph Riggs Scholarship. This scholarship fund is made available by the Assemblies of God Trust in partnership with The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education. (http://agtrust.org)
District Youth Scholarship – Due February 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $1,000 (1), $750 (1), $500 (1)
The three winning applications which are selected for the District Youth Scholarship will be submitted to the National Office for consideration of the J. Robert Ashcroft Scholarship. The J. Robert Ashcroft Scholarship will be awarded in the following amounts: $8,000, $4,000, and $2,000.
Central Bible College DYD Scholarship – Due May 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $1,000 (2)
North Central University Outstanding Student Leader Scholarship – Due March 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: 1,000 (1)
With this application please include a letter of recommendation from your youth pastor
Southwestern Assemblies of God University DYD Scholarship – Due May 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $4,000 (2)
Trinity Bible College DYD Scholarship – Due May 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $4,000 (1)
Valley Forge Christian College DYD Scholarship – Due July 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $4,000 (1)
With this application please include a completed DYD Scholarship application, which you can obtain from VFCC.
Southeastern University DYD Scholarship – Due February 1, 2012
Scholarships Offered: $4,000 (4)
With this application please include a completed SEU 2012 DYD Scholarship.
Applicants must currently be in their senior year of high school, attend an Assemblies of God church with plans to attend an Assemblies of God college. District Youth Scholarship recipients are awarded scholarships as follows to the Assemblies of God college of their choice: first place $1,000; second place $750; third place $500. All three district recipients will become nominees for the J. Robert Ashcroft National Youth Scholarship. National recipients will receive $8,000 for first place, $4,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place. Scholarship awarded to first year students only. One half of the total award is given each semester.
Recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, Christian character, church and community leadership, and need.
