LOCATION

Bongiorno Conference Center, 430 Union Hall Road, Carlisle, PA 17013

DATES

Advance begins Friday night, September 2nd, with registration from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Advance will conclude with breakfast on Monday morning at 9:00am, September 5th.

WHO MAY ATTEND

All youth enrolled in grades 7-12 during the 2016-2017 school year may attend. Please do NOT bring children under the age of 12 or infants.

TOTAL COST

$141 per person (group rate)/$241 per person (Individual Rate). Cost includes: accommodations (3 nights), food (7 meals), retreat activities, and use of facilities. A non-refundable deposit of $91 (group)/$141 (individual) per person is due with the pre-registration form. The balance of $50 (group)/$100 (individual) per person is due at the retreat.

PRE-REGISTRATION

All groups must pre-register for the retreat. Please fill out and return the
“Group Pre-Registration Form” at your earliest convenience. Pre-registration will be handled on a first come/first-served basis. All forms must be complete.

CHAPERONES

ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS: It is the responsibility of each group registering to provide adequate chaperones for their teens. Each group MUST send and register one male chaperone for every 10 guys they register, and one female chaperone for every 10 girls they register. At least one male and one female chaperone must accompany each group, regardless of group size. Pre-registrations received without the adequate number of chaperones will be returned! Each chaperone must be at least 20 years old.

CLEARENCES

In compliance with House Bill 435, our office will now require the following three items for every chaperone who will attend with your group. These reports may take several weeks to receive, so please recruit your chaperones as early as possible. Please submit copies of these completed clearances with your registration packet:
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Department of Human Services Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Criminal History & Fingerprinting OR a signed affidavit affirming chaperone is not disqualified from service (Visit http://keepkidssafe.pa.gov to determine which chaperones need the FBI reporting.)

Chaperones will not be permitted to stay on campus without these clearances on file.

CONFIRMATION

You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail approximately one week prior to Advance.

ARRIVAL TIME

After 6:00pm Friday. Registration is from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, with the leader’s orientation beginning at 8:00pm and the first service beginning at 9:00pm. Please be on time for registration.

DEPARTURE TIME

After breakfast on Monday. Everyone must depart from the grounds by 10am

DEADLINES

Although there is no specific deadline, it is to your advantage to pre-register as soon as possible as we anticipate the Advance to sell out. Pre-registrations will be accepted until our maximum occupancy number is reached.
