What is STL?
Speed the Light (STL) is a student-led, Gospel-centered, and Spirit-empowered initiative that equips students to fulfill the Great Commission through sacrificial generosity. Through STL, students fund missionaries and missions organizations across the world with the core principle of making Jesus known!
-
Missionaries and organizations are provided with essential transportation and other necessities to share Jesus in their contexts:
• Sharing the Gospel in the jungles of the Amazon becomes realistic when a missionary is gifted a jeep through STL.
• Reaching deserted people groups to make disciples of Jesus is made possible with STL boats and motorbikes.
• Ministering to those impacted by natural disasters can take place through STL semi-trucks. -
When students give to STL at youth group or online, the money is sent to the PennDel Ministry Network office, then to the Assemblies of God national office in Missouri.
From there, the funds are sent directly to missionaries and missions organizations across the world! -
Students raise funds in a variety of ways:
• Organize Fundraisers
• Earn Sponsorships for Challenges
• Sell Handmade Goods
• Pick Up Extra Jobs
• Give Directly From Paychecks -
Through STL, students across the PennDel Ministry Network and the United States, are being taught the value of giving all to the one who gave His all. In doing so, THE LOST ARE BECOMING FOUND!
2025 PROJECTS
2025 PROJECTS
In 2025, penndelyouth will be giving to two awesome missions organizations: Bishoftu Women’s Center & Project Rescue.
We will also be funding individual missionaries with resources they need to share the Gospel around the world!
-
The Bishoftu Women’s Center in Ethiopia is dedicated to empowering women through skill development, health programs, and community support.
At the center, women will have access to vocational training, health education, and a safe space to network and grow. Whether it’s starting a business, improving health, or creating community projects, this home is there to support and uplift women in the Bishoftu area. -
Project Rescue is dedicated to rescuing and restoring women and children who have been trafficked and exploited in the sex trade. With millions of vulnerable individuals trapped in this horrific cycle of abuse worldwide, the mission of Project Rescue is not just to rescue them, but to offer comprehensive healing—providing safe shelter, trauma-informed care, education, and opportunities for a brighter future.
The need for such an initiative is urgent and vital, as human trafficking remains one of the fastest-growing criminal industries.
Through your giving to STL, Project Rescue is able to empower individuals to reclaim their dignity and find their life in Christ.
